FeedMore WNY is investing in the future by centralizing its operations to a new facility in the Town of Hamburg!

the problem

Due to a rapid increase in food insecurity among Western New York residents, current FeedMore WNY facilities are operating beyond their capacity to meet the service needs of the region.

the solution

To continue expanding regional food programs and providing its current services, FeedMore WNY will build a 197,700 square-foot facility to centralize its regional operations on a 74-acre site in the Town of Hamburg.

the need

After reaching nearly two-thirds of its fundraising goal to establish a permanent home for the organization, FeedMore WNY is kicking off the public phase of its campaign and inviting the community to participate in this critical project.

Moose Tracks Ice Cream raises $10K for FeedMore WNY with scoop challenge

As a way to benefit FeedMore WNY, Moose Tracks Ice Cream reached its goal of serving 10,000 scoops of ice cream for a special challenge held July 11 in Buffalo.

Moose Tracks and Hershey’s Ice Cream partnered in the 10,000 Scoops Challenge to create a citywide ice cream social and raise $10,000 for FeedMore WNY.

For every scoop eaten during the four-hour event, Moose Tracks donated $1.

FeedMore WNY would like to thank Moose Trancks, Hershey’s, the event volunteers and everyone in the community who attended the challenge!

Moose Tracks — the flavor featuring decadent fudge and peanut butter cups swirled into vanilla ice cream — has hosted more than 50 events since 2010, surpassing $500,000 raised for local charities in cities across the nation.

Food donations needed this summer; Instacart offers donation delivery service

FeedMore WNY is experiencing a shortage of community food donations.

These are the types of donations that come in through food drives or through individuals dropping off donations at our warehouse, and they are what we rely on to provide assorted food boxes to our partner agencies across our service area.

FeedMore WNY is fortunate to receive these types of donations during the holiday season, but they really slow down during the spring and summer.

In the spring, FeedMore WNY experienced a 52 percent decrease of community food donations when compared to Spring 2023.

Approximately 142,454 individuals rely on FeedMore WNY for food assistance each year.

We aren’t expecting an infusion of donations until the Erie County Fair Food Drive in August, which means we are calling on the community to help us through July and the early part of next month.

One easy way people can donate is through Instacart’s Community Cart program!

With the push of a button, you can purchase your donation online at Instacart.com, and Instacart shoppers will drop off the order directly to the FeedMore WNY warehouse.

All Instacart service and delivery fees are waived when using the Community Cart program. Thank you for any help you can provide!
