nutrition assistance

for older adults

Outside of FeedMore WNY’s meal delivery service, we offer additional programs to not only provide healthy meals to our neighbors in need, but also educate our older community members on proper nutrition and provide dignified options for those at risk of hunger or isolation.

stay fit dining

Through a partnership with Erie County, FeedMore WNY prepares nutritious meals for our neighbors ages 60 and older at locations such as senior centers, community centers and other places where older adults gather. With locations across Erie County, the nutritious meals at Stay Fit Dining adhere to the Department of Agriculture’s Recommended Daily Requirements for people ages 60 and older.

Advance reservations are required, so please contact the site nearest you for availability. If you have questions or comments regarding the Stay Fit Dining Program, call (716) 858-7639.

SNAP assistance

SNAP helps New York’s older adults 60+  buy healthy food at the grocery store. You can get help from SNAP if you have limited income and resources or high medical and living expenses. The amount you receive depends on household income from all sources, deductions of high medical or housing costs, and how many people live in your household.

Reach out to see if you qualify today! Contact Lauren Merriman, FeedMore WNY SNAP Outreach Coordinator at (716) 822-2005 ext. 3052 or lmerriman@feedmorewny.org.
