Aspire of WNY volunteers in variety of ways

Ask Aspire of WNY to list all of their volunteer contributions to FeedMore WNY, and prepare to be amazed.

Every week, more than 30 staff members and participants from Aspire of WNY volunteer for a multitude of FeedMore WNY projects, including sorting and packing food in the warehouse, making reusable grocery bags out of donated T-shirts and delivering meals for a whopping 25 home-delivered meal routes throughout East Aurora, West Seneca, Buffalo, Cheektowaga, Lancaster, Clarence and Niagara Falls.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to build relationships and work alongside others in our community,” Liane Argo, Coordinator of Day Service Opportunities for Aspire of WNY, said.

As much as Argo and her team enjoy volunteering, she also believes it is their civic duty.

“It is our job, as part of many communities in and around Buffalo, to see that the most vulnerable among us have access to basic needs – including food,” Argo said. “If we have healthy hands, we should be joining with others to make this happen.”

Argo hopes her dedicated team at Aspire motivates others to get involved. She guarantees those who volunteer will not regret it.

“It feels amazing to know that you are helping so many people,” she said.
