A Brighter Future for *Allan’s Family

Nothing would make *Allan happier than seeing his three children safe, happy and well-prepared for adulthood. He and his wife would move mountains for their kids, ages 6, 12 and 17.

But right now, the family is displaced and looking for a permanent home.

When catastrophic circumstances happen, entire lives can be upheaved. Stability, shelter and food access are all impacted — which is why FeedMore WNY’s hunger relief efforts include disaster response, both independent and through our partner agencies.

Currently, *Allan’s family is staying at a shelter that provides housing, food and support to individuals and families in Erie County. As a FeedMore WNY partner, the shelter provides healthy meals to nourish *Allan’s family, including his growing children.

Although living in a shelter is challenging, *Allan says that the support of the FeedMore WNY network has been key in regaining a sense of peace and normalcy.

“The community [is full of] good people,” he says. “We are so grateful.”

The family is especially thankful for the chicken and rice you help provide — family favorites that fuel the children, ensuring they can focus on learning and growing even in challenging times. It’s more than a meal — it’s the hope of a more stable future!
