SNAP Emergency Allotments are Over, Now What?

Since March of 2020, SNAP recipients in New York have received an Emergency Allotment (EA) benefit due to COVID-19. On March 1, 2023, those additional SNAP dollars stopped.

The end of the Emergency Allotment benefit means every SNAP household will see a decrease of at least $95 per month in benefits. For others, the decrease will be much larger.
