FeedMore WNY collaborates with Seneca-Babcock Community Association to open new meal delivery site, serving Buffalo’s homebound neighbors in need.

With the increased need for nutritious, home-delivered food in the City of Buffalo, FeedMore WNY has relocated its Broadway delivery site to the Seneca-Babcock Arlene Mychajliw Community Center. This collaboration between FeedMore WNY and the Seneca-Babcock Community Association provides a more spacious site to accommodate the expanded need for deliveries in the area.

Each weekday, FeedMore WNY’s 31 delivery sites throughout Erie and Niagara counties host volunteers and staff to bring freshly-made meals to our neighbors in need. Our home-delivered meals program has experienced unprecedented growth in response to the COVID-19 crisis, adding nearly 1,900 homebound individuals to the service. By collaborating with the Seneca-Babcock Community Association, the larger site helps us accommodate 138 new meal recipients from the Seneca-Babcock community, Larkinville, Kaisertown and the surrounding neighborhoods. In total, this delivery site provides home-delivered meal services for approximately 260 individuals.

We are grateful for the partnership of the Seneca-Babcock Community Association for the use of their beautiful facility as we continue to provide food and friendship to our neighbors in the community!
