WNY Ford Dealers and Ford Friendship Express help FeedMore WNY continue mission

Posted: November 23, 2022

Reliable transportation is critical for every facet of FeedMore WNY’s mission.

Each weekday, our volunteers and staff are out in the community delivering meals and providing friendship to homebound neighbors throughout Erie and Niagara counties. Our team traverses rural roads and city streets to reach these vulnerable community members.

FeedMore WNY also relies on vehicles to distribute nutritious food to nearly 400 hunger-relief partners throughout Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties. These food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and other community agencies depend on FeedMore WNY for timely deliveries in order to feed food-insecure children, families, veterans and older adults.

Vehicles also are needed to drop off and pick up food drive barrels to ensure more food gets into the hands of those who need it most.

Simply put – without reliable transportation, FeedMore WNY could not assist our hungry neighbors.

That’s why FeedMore WNY was overjoyed to learn we were one of four area nonprofits selected by the WNY Ford Dealers and the Ford Friendship Express to receive a new Ford Friendship Express van. FeedMore WNY participated in a recent celebration commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Ford Friendship Express Program. WNY Ford Dealers and the Ford Friendship Express have been longstanding partners of FeedMore WNY, and we are deeply grateful for their continued support with this incredible donation.

FeedMore WNY is ready to hit the road in the new Ford Friendship Express Van to offer dignity, hope and a brighter future to our WNY neighbors in need!
