Rosina’s Donates 40,536 Pounds of Pasta to FeedMore WNY

FeedMore WNY celebrated National Pasta Day with a donation of 40,536 pounds of frozen pasta from Buffalo-based Rosina Food Products.

The donation, which Rosina estimated will provide pasta for 112,000 meals, went into the home delivered meals prepared Friday by our commissary staff. The rest of the donation will go into future home delivered meals, congregate dining sites and also be made available to our partner organizations via our food pantry program.

Andrea Corigliano Augustyn, Rosina Food Products’ corporate brands manager, said putting food on the table can get harder for Western New York families as the holidays approach.

“Our family has always believed in taking care of our neighbors, and that’s something we’ve carried with us for more than six decades,” Augustyn said. “We’re grateful for our longtime partnership with FeedMore WNY and for the opportunity to help put food on the table for families in our community this holiday season.”

Friday’s donation followed Rosina’s previous donation to FeedMore WNY in March, when they donated 4,400 pounds of frozen meatballs.

“FeedMore WNY is deeply appreciative of the continued partnership of Rosina Food Products as we work to provide our neighbors in need with access to nourishing, high-quality foods,” said Collin Bishop, vice president of External Affairs for FeedMore WNY. “FeedMore WNY also will distribute this frozen pasta donation to our partner hunger-relief agencies to nourish children, families and community members of all ages facing food insecurity across our four-county service area.”
