FeedMore WNY recognizes RISE graduates’ achievements

FeedMore WNY’s RISE program has graduated 11 additional students following their completion of the 10-week job training session.

A ceremony to commemorate the Cohort 11 graduates was held Sept. 18.

RISE is an acronym for Readying Individuals for Success and Employment. The program provides free job training for economically disadvantaged adults.

Additionally, the program gives graduates the skills, experience, opportunities and a network of partners to help our neighbors obtain gainful employment and achieve financial self-sufficiency.

RISE also empowers our neighbors through specialized training programs to bring our region closer to our shared goal of ending hunger in WNY.

FeedMore WNY is unbelievably proud of the students of our free workforce development program, and we cannot wait to see the bright futures they have in store!

Cohort 12, which is the final session of 2023, will be held from Monday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Dec. 15.

Dates for the 2024 cohorts will be posted when they become available.

All classes are held at FeedMore WNY’s Food Distribution Warehouse located at 91 Holt Street, Buffalo, NY 14206.
