You’re making a difference for Heather

Heather has always called Jamestown home. A mother of three, her life has changed a lot in recent years — especially last June, when she endured the loss of her husband.

Now between jobs and working to become registered for short-term disability income, Heather says she’s grateful for the support of her friends, who she’s staying with right now.

She’s also grateful to know her children are safe with a nearby loved one while she focuses on her recovery.

FeedMore WNY supporters like you are also a real lifeline for Heather right now.

Thanks to you, she can drop in at St. Susan Center, a community soup kitchen supplied by FeedMore WNY, for healthy meals, supportive community and even food to take home.

“[The food] is good,” she says of the nutritious variety of items at St. Susan, which you help make available.

She’s especially thankful for the delicious broccoli and cheese soup.

Heather says the soup at St. Susan Center is so good, she goes back for seconds.

Inspired by your generosity, Heather always shares what she can with her friends, who are providing her a place to live, to say ‘thank you.’

Even though her SNAP benefits don’t stretch as far as they used to, she’s happy to pitch in. “When I get my food stamps, I stock their house,” she says.

Thank you for sharing so generously to help provide nutritious food for neighbors like Heather!
