Erie County 4-H students give back to FeedMore WNY

The students who participate in Erie County’s 4-H Youth Development Program have been giving back to their community in a meaningful way. For nearly a decade, the 4-H Livestock Program has been partnering with FeedMore WNY to alleviate food insecurity through donations of fresh, locally sourced protein.

A diet rich in protein is essential for maintaining good health. However, for people who are food insecure, accessing protein-rich foods like lean meats can be hard to do. Thanks to the generosity of the 4-H students, more than 70 chickens and 30 turkeys were donated to FeedMore WNY this year to nourish our neighbors in need!
