FeedMore WNY announces spring plant sale fundraiser
FeedMore WNY will hold a spring plant sale with the option to purchase 10-inch hanging baskets, 4.5-inch pots and annual flats. Orders can be placed online at feedmorewny.org/plant-sale now through Monday, April 26, 2021.
New this year, participants who place an online order will receive a voucher for redemption at either Lavocat’s Family Greenhouse and Nursery, 8441 County Road, East Amherst, NY 14051; or Zittels Country Market, 4415 Southwestern Blvd., Hamburg, NY 14075. The voucher only can be redeemed at the specific location for which it was purchased. Participants will be able to select their plants at Lavocat’s and Zittels from Saturday, May 1 through Tuesday, June 15, 2021. A portion of the proceeds from the plant sale will benefit FeedMore WNY as it continues to provide nutritious food and support to hungry community members of all ages throughout Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties.
“FeedMore WNY’s plant sale is a great way for community members to support our neighbors in need – and the timing is perfect for Mother’s Day and spring planting,” Lisa Woodring, FeedMore WNY chief development officer, said. “This fundraiser will provide a beautiful variety of flowers and plants to the community, while benefiting FeedMore WNY’s critical feeding programs.
