Drawing upon both personal and community experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic\, Quarantine Stories invites anyone in WNY to express their thoughts\, feelings\, frustrations\, and struggles through the submission of a 2-4 minute “story” (roughly 500 word limit) that comments upon this challenging time. These “stories” will then be performed by local actors for a virtual audience\, both to ensure privacy for anonymous entries and to establish a degree of separation for potentially traumatic experiences. \nQuarantine Stories seeks to give a voice to people who are suffering due to social distancing/quarantine orders\, and to foster a sense of solidarity during this time of isolation by helping people understand they are not suffering alone Each livestream event will help bring awareness to a WNY nonprofit or charity helping our community during this time.
