SUMMARY:Spring It On
DESCRIPTION:One in five children in Western New York faces hunger. You can help.\nDONATE TO OUR SPRING IT ON CAMPAIGN\nNo child should have to worry about having enough to eat. Yet hunger is an unfortunate reality for many children in our community. When children are deprived of the nutritious food they need to grow and thrive\, their health and schoolwork often suffer. \nThe Food Bank of WNY and our 341 member agencies provide nutritious food and support to as many as 55\,000 infants and children throughout Cattaraugus\, Chautauqua\, Erie and Niagara counties – but we cannot do it alone. With your help\, we can continue to operate and grow the programs within our Food for Kids Initiative to alleviate childhood hunger. \nYour support today will help feed hungry children through the following programs: \n\nBaby Needs Program – meets the emergency needs of infants and young children by providing their caretakers with a supply of diapers\, infant formula and baby care products.\nBackPack Program – provides elementary school students in need with a bag of easy-to-prepare\, kid-friendly food to take home on Fridays throughout the school year.\nSchool Pantry Program – provides high school students and their families access to nutritious food through a pantry located on campus.\n\nTogether\, we can make sure our community’s children have the food they need to stay healthy and strong!
